I am tenderly returning to painting practice, a process which I quit many years ago.
i like to use materials and pigemts i can find in my immediate environment around Brooklyn, where I live: salvaged wood from building sites, discarded household items and other debris, as well as foraged ochre pigments found in parks and on the street, and culturally significant resins, such as grasstree resin. I occaisionally incorportate charcoal, graphite or other mineral pigments, but I prefer to use foraged pigments over commercial pigments.
